Miles that Matter terms and conditions
Please read these terms and conditions carefully. By taking part in this event, you confirm that you have read, understood and accepted them.
- By signing up for the event, you confirm that, to the best of your knowledge, you are sufficiently fit and healthy to take part in the event. Anyone unsure of their physical ability to take part in the event must seek medical advice from their doctor prior to the event.
- Participants enter the event at their own risk and so far as permitted by law, The Anne Robson Trust shall not be liable for any injury or loss to persons or their property that might occur as a result of their participation in the event.
- Participants are responsible for ensuring that they are wearing appropriate attire (including footwear) and in possession of the appropriate protections when taking part in the event, taking into account the nature of the event, the weather forecast, and the terrain involved.
- If you are under the age of 18, a parent or guardian must register for the Miles That Matter on your behalf and anyone under the age of 18 participating in the Miles That Matter should complete their challenge accompanied by a responsible adult agreed by their parent or guardian. Please ensure that the distance you choose to complete through this challenge is appropriate for you or your child’s age and ability. The Anne Robson Trust is not liable for any children under the age of 18 who attempt to complete a distance too challenging for their age and/or ability.
- You must be a resident of the UK to receive a t-shirt.
- Please allow up to 10 working days from the date of registration for your Anne Robson Trust t-shirt to be delivered. If you have not received your t-shirt after 10 working days, please contact the team at fundraising@annerobsontrust.org.uk or call 01438 873257.
- Where possible, take a mobile phone on every activity on your Miles That Matter challenge and ensure a friend or family member is aware of your intended route and estimated time of arrival home for your own safety.
- If possible, carry out your challenge during daytime hours.
- We recommend that you follow familiar routes with good footfall during your Miles That Matter challenge where possible and/or ensure you take a physical or digital map (for example, Google Maps) on every activity as part of your challenge so you can track your location and identify safe routes home.
- Participants should check the weather forecast before each activity and plan accordingly to ensure their safety. If weather conditions are extreme, such as heavy storms, flooding or severe temperatures the activity should be rescheduled to a safer time.
- Participants should be mindful of traffic.
- The Anne Robson Trust recommends that you bring fluids and snacks on long journeys taken as part of your challenge. The use of illegal substances/alcohol during the challenge are strictly prohibited therefore participants are reminded that they should not use such items while undertaking the challenge.
