Abby Grimmer - Butterfly CoordinatorMy name is Abby and I coordinate the Butterfly Volunteer Service at Great Western Hospital in Swindon. It’s a real privilege to be part of a team offering such meaningful support to patients and families at the end of life. I find it incredibly moving to witness the difference a calm, compassionate presence can make in someone’s final days.
For me, end of life care is about dignity, connection, and making sure no one feels alone.
