Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust

Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has worked in partnership with The Anne Robson Trust since November 2021. Led by Coordinator Adrienne, the Butterfly Volunteers offer time, compassion, and a calm presence to people in their final days of life, supporting not only patients but also those close to them.

Meet The Coordinator
Adrienne Watson - Butterfly Volunteering CoordinatorI’ve been the Butterfly Volunteering Coordinator at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Trust and have worked across both sites, West Middlesex University Hospital and Chelsea & Westminster Hospital. Our service is funded by The Friends of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
Having joined West Middlesex University Hospital as a Butterfly Volunteer when the service started in 2022, I’ve supported more than 200 patients and their loved ones over two and a half years.
Since becoming the Butterfly Coordinator earlier this year, I’ve been continuing the development of the end of life companionship service at both hospitals. I’m particularly enjoying working with all our Butterfly Volunteers and our clinical colleagues to provide the best possible support to our patients.
