Dying is not as bad as you think

In our humble opinion this short video “Dying Is Not As Bad As You Think,” by Dr Kathryn Mannix is 4 minutes of footage that every person should watch.
Originally filmed in 2018 for BBC ideas, Palliative Care expert and author, Dr Kathryn Mannix breaks down the taboos around death and explains in a simple, clear, and concise way why we need to talk about death, what dying really looks like and what you can expect.
Here at the Anne Robson Trust we believe that we all need to be more open about death and dying, it happens to us all in the end, eventually. Watching this video can help to start the conversation.
Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness are the ones that may seem insignificant in the moment. These are the ones that truly make a difference.
Today marks 15 years since my mother, Anne Robson, sadly died after a week’s stay in hospital following a fall. It’s hard to believe how quickly time has passed, but every day without her reminds me of the incredible impact she had on our lives.
The 8th May 2024 will be the UK’s first Advance Care Plan Day. This year’s theme is ‘Getting your House in Order’ – which is built on a foundation of ‘What Matters Most’ to you.
