How my will help people facing the end of their life?
With no government or NHS funding, we rely on the generosity of our supporters to deliver our work helping people before they die. Without your donations, we would be unable to help hospitals to set up teams of volunteer visitors, or to support family members on the phone.
After looking after your loved ones, leaving a gift to the Anne Robson Trust in your Will is the perfect way to make a lasting difference for a cause you believe in.

A large or complex estate (e.g., trust income, overseas property, dependent relatives, or ongoing legal issues).
Concerns about mental capacity.
Your estate is subject to inheritance tax.

Frequently Asked Questions
Writing a Will ensures that your belongings, property and money (your ‘estate’) are managed the way you want, putting you in control. It can give reassurance that your loved ones will be looked-after when you are gone. Writing a Will can also have tax benefits, or perhaps you just want your money to be spent in a certain way once you are gone. For example, you may wish for your money to be split between a charity, friends and family members.
Whatever your age, it is important to be in control of how your estate will be managed once you are gone. Many people write or update their Will when they buy a car or property, get married, have children, own precious items, or retire.
In your Will, you can state how you wish your estate to be managed, and leave instructions on things like funeral arrangements. You may choose to leave a specific amount of money, a specific item (a pecuniary gift); or you may specify for people or causes to receive a percentage of your estate (a residual gift). For example, you may leave a specific family member £1,000, and then leave 90% of the rest of your estate to your family and 10% to charity.
Consult a legal professional if your estate is large or complex. Search for a local solicitor at Law Society or contact Ark Powers, who donate 10% of their fee to the Anne Robson Trust if you mention us.
