Paula worked as an analytical chemist for 14 years, before enjoying being a stay at home mum to raise her children. Following a number of personal losses, Paula became motivated to provide support and care for those who are going through difficult times in their lives. This led to her volunteering for the Samaritans, which fuelled her passion to continue a career in caring for people.
In 2009 Paula decided to become a counsellor and specialise in bereavement support, and since qualifying, has worked with a number of charities including Place2Be, The Living Room, and Cruse Bereavement Care. Throughout her work with these charities, Paula continued to work part-time as an emergency responder for the British Red Cross, helping the most vulnerable people in the community.
After working at the British Red Cross for 7 years, Paula felt ready for a new venture, more focused on end of life and bereavement care. She strongly believes that everyone deserves access to support during these times and feels privileged to now be working on setting up the Anne Robson Trust Helpline.
Paula lives in Hertfordshire with her husband Paul, and her two children, where in her spare time she loves to bake for friends and family.
