Liz Pryor

In 2010 Liz Pryor’s mother, Anne Robson, died within a few hours of being discharged from hospital.

The family were unaware that she was nearing the end of her life. This sad event was the springboard for Liz to try to help to improve end of life care, and care for the elderly, in NHS Hospitals.

Between 2010 and 2015 she worked with, and for, a number of organisations, including the Patients Association and the charity Kissing it Better, which included managing projects in a number of hospitals in the South East & London.

Having set up a team of volunteers supporting patients in the last days of life, whilst working as a Project Manager for a local hospital, Liz soon realised that this was what she had been looking for since her mother died. A simple, impactful scheme that makes the world of difference to everyone involved; patients, families, volunteers, NHS staff…

Understanding the difference the volunteers made to the end of life care provision at the hospital led Liz to launch The Anne Robson Trust, in memory of her mother.

Liz is married to Henry, they have two daughters and live in rural Hertfordshire. In a previous life, Liz ran an interior design business in south west London in partnership with her sister, Catherine.
