In 2010 Liz Pryor’s mother, Anne Robson, died within a few hours of being discharged from hospital.
The family were unaware that she was nearing the end of her life. This sad event was the springboard for Liz to try to help to improve end of life care, and care for the elderly, in healthcare organisations across the country.
Between 2010 and 2016 she worked with, and for, a number of charities and NHS Trusts.
Having set up a team of volunteers supporting patients in the last days of life whilst working as a Project Manager for a local hospital, Liz soon realised that this simple, impactful scheme makes the world of difference to everyone involved; patients, families, volunteers, healthcare staff…
This understanding led Liz to launch The Anne Robson Trust in 2018, in memory of her mother. Her work in end of life care was recognised when, in July 2022, she was awarded an MBE by HRH The Prince of Wales, at Buckingham Palace.
Liz is married to Property Expert Henry, they have two grown up daughters and live in rural Hertfordshire.
