We’re proud to announce that we’ve been shortlisted as a 2022 Nursing Times finalist!
Shortlisted for the ‘Managing Long-term Conditions’ category, our entry focuses on our partnership with Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital Foundation Trust (NNUH), to establish, train and run a team of end-of-life volunteers.
A key part of our application was demonstrating how easily the initiative can be transferred to other hospitals and showing how nurses were a driving force behind getting the project up and running.
Our Founder and CEO, Liz Pryor says “We’re delighted to hear that we’ve been shortlisted as a finalist. Recognition like this is great news for the team and for all the hospitals that we partner with. Establishing an end-of-life volunteer scheme alleviates pressure on staff time, facilitates good practice and creates an enhanced patient experience. We were spoilt for choice when it came to supplying case studies of the incredible impact this work has for people at the end of their lives, and their family members and want to thank the amazing team at NNUH for their hard work, support and dedication.”
“Being selected as a finalist for these prestigious awards, is so exciting and we’re looking forward to the Awards later this year.”
The Nursing Times Awards will take place on Wednesday 26 October at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane, London.
