Nick Gardiner

Nick’s background is in the field of Sports Therapy. He founded an injury clinic in 2008, worked in Higher Education for over 12 years and most recently, led an academic group of Sports Science and Therapy staff as a Principal Lecturer for 5 years.

Nick was awarded an MPhil in 2016 for his study on the prevention of serious knee injuries using neuro-muscular exercise interventions and contributed to sports medicine textbooks on the topic of electrotherapy treatments for soft tissue and neural conditions. Nick has also provided consultancy services for the insurance of English Premier League and German Bundesliga footballers for career ending injuries.

Following a career break to look after his daughter, Nick decided it was time to change direction professionally and further pursue his passion for strategy, leadership and management. Personal experience of end of life care, both good and bad, received by close family members along with his drive to work with social purpose drew him to the Anne Robson Trust.

Nick lives in a village outside Cambridge with his wife Hannah, their daughter, and their Old English Sheepdog, Stoober.
