Emma’s career in the non-profit sector took off at Mind in Mid Herts, a mental health charity, from a desire to make a difference in people’s lives. In her transition from Wellbeing Access Worker to Fundraising and Communications Officer, she gained experience across various fundraising disciplines, including individual giving, events, and community engagement.

During her History MA, she developed an interest in the challenges faced by modern healthcare systems to provide holistic support across an entire population facing changing health requirements. Her commitment to supporting those in need led her to join this charity, inspired by her own experiences of losing her grandfather during the pandemic.

Emma is looking forward to using her fundraising experience to help the charity reach more people in need, and to grow her own skillset along the way.
