We’re thrilled to announce that the incredibly brave young man, Archie Pryor will be raising funds for us when he takes on the Tough Mudder Challenge on Saturday 21 May.
Archie will only just have turned 14 years of age when he takes part in the full-length 15km, 30 obstacle challenge.
For 2022, Tough Mudder reduced the minimum age from 16, and as the challenge is just after Archie’s birthday, this means that Archie will be one of the youngest ever competitors!
Archie signed up for the event back in January, as soon as the entry was open, and has been training every available hour outside school since.
We asked Archie the reason why he selected us as his chosen charity, here’s what he had to say:
“Too many people spend their last days and hours alone, with no visitors. The Anne Robson Trust want to ensure no one has to die alone. They help hospitals set up teams of volunteer visitors for patients, and they run an end-of-life helpline.
Please help support their vital work providing companionship for people approaching the end of their life, and supporting their family members and loved ones.
So, if you think about it, if you sponsor me, you can’t lose, because one day, it could be you. And not in a good way.”
We couldn’t have put it better ourselves! Go Archie!!
